Wendell Miller

Licensed Master of Social Work

Wendell has over 14 years’ experience working with clients from a wide array of backgrounds. He specializes in solution focused therapy for his clients in individual counseling, couples counseling, relationship counseling, depression, anxiety, addiction/substance misuse, trauma, anger management, family support and LGBTQ+ related therapies. He also has extensive experience in supporting families and clients with cognitive and neurological deficits such as stroke and traumatic brain injury. Additionally, Wendell supports families affected by substance misuse and anger management concerns. Wendell has a Master’s degree in Social Work from Stony Brook University, a Bachelor’s degree in Social Welfare from Empire State College, and is recognized as a Certified Brain Injury Specialist Trainer (CBIST) through the Academy of Brian Injury. Wendell believes in a strength-based approach and incorporates Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing and solution focused therapy in private practice. Since 2018, Wendell Miller has been the Administrative Manager of Neurological Services focusing on program development and marketing. Wendell manages three neurological rehabilitation programs for Paragon Management in Nassau (Emerge), Suffolk (Quantum) and Westchester (North Westchester) county. Wendell runs a monthly family support group at Emerge in Glen Cove NY. Wendell became a Certified Brain Injury Specialist Trainer in 2019 and continues to work and support staff working in neurological rehabilitation.
