Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Summer Denby is a Licensed Clinical Level Social Worker. She received her undergraduate degree in psychology with mental health specialization from Southern Connecticut State University in 2003. She received her master degree in social worker from Springfield College in 2011. Summer has worked in the human service field for over 19 years. She has worked with adults and families in a multitude of treatment settings; outpatient, in-home, inpatient, residential, locked residential, and group home environments. Summer worked for the Department of Mental Health and Addictions in multiple disciplines for over a decade. She also has administrative experience working for the Department of Social Services: Child welfare for the state of Maryland. Summer believes every person is resilient, the CEO of their lives, meaning you can and should set your own goals and with self-empowerment believe and can achieve all milestones. She believes it’s not where you are but where you want to go. She appreciates all strengths based treatment modalities CBT, exposure therapy, solution focused therapy, and others. Summer has extensive experience working with anxiety disorders, depression, trauma/PTSD, and domestic violence. She also has experience working with individuals with persistent mental health disorders. Summer describes herself as trustworthy, humorous, patient, and empathetic. She enjoys for therapy session to incorporate music, poetry, laughter, and most of all freedom for you to be authentic. Summer honors therapeutic rapport and feels it is a privilege to be trusted by her clients.
