Licensed Master Social Worker

Sofia Flamengo Riddick is a Licensed Master Social Worker who has worked in the mental health field since 2009. Sofia has worked in various settings, including adolescent residentials, in-home services utilizing the Multisystemic Therapy model, adolescent outpatient, and educational settings. Sofia has experience with at-risk youth and youth who are involved in the juvenile justice system. She has experience working with youth and adults who suffer from ADHD/ODD, PTSD, anxiety, depression and grief and loss. Sofia has years of experience working with youth who are school avoidant and struggle with truancy. Sofia utilizes a strength-based and solution-focused approach with her clients. Sofia believes in the importance of offering a kind, warm and welcoming approach with her clients. She works on empowering her clients to find “their voice” and meet the goals they would like to accomplish in a manner and pace they are comfortable with. Sofia speaks Portuguese and will only be providing Online Counseling sessions.
