Sara Thomas

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Sara Thomas is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has worked in the mental health field since 2009. Sara has experience working in secondary schools, primary care clinics, emergency departments, inpatient hospitals, intensive outpatient programs (IOP/PHP), and residential levels of care including detention centers. Sara has experience working with at risk and court involved youth and families dealing with behavioral difficulties at home and in the community as well as youth on probation and in placements. Sara has experience providing crisis intervention and individual therapy to adolescents age 16 and up, young adults, and adults across the lifespan living with depression, anxiety, mood instability, ADHD/ODD, and aggression. Sara assists with developing the skills for effective communication, setting boundaries, and creating healthy relationships. Sara utilizes a variety of clinical skills and evidenced based treatment modalities in her work including CBT, DBT, and mindfulness techniques in addition to utilizing strengths based, client-centered approaches. Sara is passionate about providing a safe and supportive space where treatment is individualized and solution-focused to meet each client’s particular needs and goals.
