Samantha D'Antonio

Samantha D’Antonio is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate who graduated with her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of New Haven. She has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in outpatient treatment providing individual therapy. She has worked with a broad range of mental issues including but not limited to ADHD, anxiety, depression, PTSD, mood disorders, personality disorders, psychotic symptoms, body dysmorphia, gender issues, self-injury, identity issues, sexuality issues, family concerns, grief, dissociating, and impulse control issues. She has experience working with a clients with a variety of backgrounds and has experience providing services to members of the LGBTQIA+ community. 
Samantha integrates practices from several therapies with a concentration in Person-centered therapy (PCT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Multicultural therapy. Her goal as a clinician is to provide a safe space for clients to be able to grow and work through whatever is causing them stress. She wants to be able to help her clients be able to better cope and adapt to everyday stressors. Samantha believes in working together with the client to work collaborative in identifying their goals in therapy and how to go about accomplishing them. As a person-centered therapist it is important to her, to go at the client’s pace and work first on building rapport, once the client is in a position to open up and work through their experiences, she will do so how the client feels most comfortable.
