Natasha Payton

Licensed Professional Counselor Associate

My name is Natasha Payton, and I am Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPCA). I recently graduated from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology with a master’s in clinical mental health. I also have a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and a minor in Criminology. For the past 14 years, I have worked with adolescents in multiple settings such as residential placements and detention centers throughout the state. I also have experience working with adults involved with the criminal justice system helping them find services to address various issues such as addiction, mental health treatment, anger management, and/or employment. My work experience and my education have taught me the importance of providing my clients a safe space to build a helping relationship for them to express themselves freely, and develop insight into themselves and/or relationships with others. I hope to create that environment with my clients so they can begin a journey that can be difficult at times but rewarding in the end. A quote that I feel depicts what therapy can be is “Our wounds are often the openings into the best and most beautiful part of us” David Richo. I look forward to starting this journey with you.
