Matt Stayner is a Licensed Masters Level Social Worker who graduated from the University of Connecticut. With a background in psychology, Matt focuses on evidence-based treatment approaches, such as cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing. However, from both his professional and personal experiences with therapy, Matt believes that it is a uniquely individual practice, and should be centered around each person he is meeting with. Matt has experience working with people of different ages, and who are seeking therapy for a variety of reasons. Matt has extensive experience working with people experiencing trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety, and substance use disorders. Matt’s goal is to create an open, inviting space where all people feel welcomed, included, and that their voice is being heard. Congratulations on being brave and taking this important step. I see you, and I am happy to meet you where you are.
