Lauren Gouveia is a Licensed Master of Social Work who holds master’s degrees in Clinical Social Work as well as Women’s and Gender Studies. She has experience treating co-occurring, autism spectrum, attachment related disorders. She uses Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and trauma-informed clinical interventions to ensure high-quality care for her clients. Prior to joining Stokes, Lauren served as a behavior specialist in an alternative therapeutic school, helping youth with mental health and cognitive disorders. She also served as a clinician at a rehab center offering trauma-informed interventions to groups, families, and individuals from an attachment perspective. At home, Lauren enjoys hanging out with her dogs, hiking with her loved ones, reading, and playing the piano.
