Kayla is currently a Licensed Masters’ level social worker who is in the process of pursuing her license as a Clinical Social Worker. Kayla graduated from the University of Saint Joseph in 2018 with her BA in Social Work, then graduated from the UCONN School of Social Work with her Masters’ in 2022. Both of her degrees have a concentration in individuals, families, and groups. Kayla has 8 years of mental health experience with both children and adults, through working in group homes, direct outpatient practice, and inpatient settings. Kayla has specific experience with addiction, Autism Spectrum Disorder, behavioral challenges, and family therapy. In the family realm, Kayla enjoys using creative, fun interventions to improve communication styles, self-esteem, and boundaries. In practice, she uses Motivational Interviewing, Play therapy, Dialectical and Cognitive-Behavioral techniques. Providing a safe, confidential environment in addition to honest, clinical feedback are non-negotiables for her! In her spare time, Kayla can be found enjoying the outdoors, spending time with family and friends, coaching youth sports teams, and traveling. She offers both virtual and in-home sessions and looks forward to working with you!
