Jennifer Tucker-Mitchell


Jennifer is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC), and an APRN with a Master’s degree in nursing (MSN). She is passionate about providing quality, compassionate, and comprehensive mental health services to adults. Jennifer possesses strong clinical skills enhanced by a natural ability to build rapport with her patients and their families. She follows evidence-based practice guidelines which are combined with clinical experience, personal observation, and intuition. As a PMHNP, Jennifer’s role is multifaceted. Her experience includes educator, mental health advocate, and nursing faculty instructor.

As a clinical faculty member, Jennifer values interdisciplinary education and inter-professional collaboration for a whole person, patient-centered approach to mental health and healthcare.

Jennifer is always advocating for her patients and has special interests in the integration of behavioral medicine, trauma-informed care, suicide prevention, and addressing interpersonal relationship health.

As a psychiatric and mental health nurse practitioner, Jennifer’s philosophy of patient care is to provide individualized care to her clients by acknowledging their unique situations, educating her patients and their families, and providing unconditionally compassionate, high-quality, and safe care.
