Ely Pena is a Licensed Master Social Worker in the state of Connecticut. Ely graduated from the University of Connecticut, where she received her Master of Social Work, with a concentration on working with individuals, groups, and families. Ely specializes in Couples Therapy, Emotional Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Play Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She currently works with children, young adults, couples, and families. She believes that individuals have the capability to reduce or manage life stressors by navigating through their feelings, thoughts and issues that are affecting their everyday life. She focuses on helping individuals with identifying their areas of strengths and weaknesses to build new skills that can help them manage challenges that may come their way. Ely is patient, compassionate and committed. She provides a safe and nonjudgmental space for individuals to help them meet their mental health goals and needs.
