Licensed Professional Counselor

Dr. Kellin Cavanaugh is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Doctorate in Counseling and Counselor Education. Kellin specializes in working with LGBTQIA+ individuals, and families who are seeking additional support. She also specializes in working with adolescents and young adults, issues concerning human sexuality, body image, grief and loss as well as couples. Kellin utilizes a humanistic approach when providing services, meaning that she approaches every client without judgment, empathy and understanding. She believes that we are all trying to do the best with what we have and is always willing to hold space for her clients. Kellin is also an Assistant Professor at the University of New Haven, and teaches graduate students who are completing their counseling internships.
