Andrew Castillo is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPCA) and a Master’s level graduate of Art Therapy and Counseling from Albertus Magnus College. Andrew has years of experience working with children and teens ages 3 to 17 with multiple behavioral disorders such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD,mood disorders, intellectual disorders and developmental delays. He also has experience working with adults ages 18 to 65, specifically with first responders and veterans. Through his work with first responders he gained experience with addiction recovery, anxiety, depression, PTSD, C-PTSD, substance abuse, OCD, and more using Art Therapy, CBT, DBT, and ACT methods.
Andrew encourages clients to embrace their creativity and use art as a second language to explore their conflicts and experiences. He understands that healing takes time with empathy, understanding, and patience. Establishing a strong rapport and facilitating a safe space for clients to strengthen their own voices in an online space are key components in his practice.
