Licensed Professional Counseling Associate

My name is Aisha Sharp originally from Bridgeport CT. I am a Licensed Professional Counseling Associate. I obtained my bachelors of science degree in therapeutic recreation. I completed my graduate studies at the University of Bridgeport, Master of Science counseling and clinical mental health. I have years of experience working with adolescents and teenagers at risk in residential placements assisting them to transition back into their homes & communities. I have experience with individual counseling as well as group counseling with this population. Before becoming licensed, I worked with families following the MDFT model, assisting parents & children with advocacy. This consisted of presenting at PPT meetings, court hearings, and implementations of resources. Healing is a journey, it isn’t easy and often times, not pretty. I believe we all have the proper tools to be our best self, some times we require assistance sharpening our tools. You are not alone, this journey begins now!
